What Are GSA Schedules ?

 

GSA Schedules, also known as Federal Supply Schedules, are a collection of pre-negotiated contracts under the General Services Administration's Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) Program. Federal, State and Local government agencies can view and make purchases from GSA Schedules knowing that GSA has helped to negotiate better rates for a contractor's good and/or services.

 

Approved GSA Schedules contain pre-negotiated pricing, delivery terms and warranties- all need to simplify government procurements. When a vendor holds a GSA Schedule contract, it is considered a seal of approval by the federal government that your products and services represent a best value to purchasing authorities.

 

GSA Schedules are the preferred purchasing mechanism for almost all federal buyers. They are also an ideal sales and closing vehicle vendors. Large federal contractors can easily have GSA schedule sales exceeding $ 100 million annually.

 

To be an approved supplier on a GSA schedule, the vendor must go through a demanding GSA application process. Negotiating fair and reasonable prices for the products or services to be delivered is the most important piece of the application process. 

 

The GSA Schedule is a 5-year term contract, with three 5-year renewal options. In total there are over 12,000,000 commercial items are available through the GSA Schedule program. The use of the GSA schedule system as a quick, effective buying mechanism is steadily increasing.
